Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Service Description

CiteSwitch is a bibliography formatting tool currently offered in supervised beta. Users submit references in plain text along with a sample of the desired citation style. During beta, submissions are reviewed and formatted before delivery, typically within 24 hours.

2. Beta Disclaimer

CiteSwitch is provided as a beta service. While we aim for high accuracy, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

3. User Responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all formatted output before submitting it to any journal, institution, or third party. CiteSwitch does not guarantee acceptance by any publication or academic body.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CiteSwitch shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the service, including academic or professional outcomes.

5. Revisions

During beta, one revision is included if formatting adjustments are needed to better match the provided example. Revision requests should be made within 7 days of delivery.

6. Future Paid Plans

CiteSwitch may introduce paid automated plans in the future. Pricing and billing terms will be clearly communicated before any payment is required.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for unlawful purposes or to submit content that infringes intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to refuse or suspend service at our discretion.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of the content you submit. CiteSwitch claims no ownership over your bibliography content or formatted output. The CiteSwitch brand, website, and software are our intellectual property.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s country of residence. Any disputes arising from the use of the service shall be subject to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
